Dorothy Lindstrom

Dorothy was born and raised in Portland. She was one of six children, three boys and three girls. She and her family lived in Mt. Tabor area until June, 1941, when they moved to Mocks Crest on Willamette Blvd, across from University of Portland.

She attended Roosevelt High School, where she met her future husband, Al Lindstrom. They both went to Oregon State University and got married in 1952.

Dorothy and Al lived in Eugene, where four children, Terry, Steve, Diane and Carol, were born.

They moved back to Portland in 1962. They lived in Old Vista Hills until Al passed away in 2013. Dorothy and Al were married for 51 beautiful years. They were very active in their kids lives, in their clubs, sports, golfing, snow skiing, water skiing, etc.

They had a 27 ft. bay liner boat and they spent many weekends camping and exploring San Juan and other islands with their kids and other families.

Dorothy’s family has a house at Neskowin Beach. The grandkids remember all the wonderful time they have spent there; such as fires on the beach, sandcastle building, dressing up and participating in the 4th of July parades, their awards still are on the bulletin boards in their family’s house.

Dorothy has lived in Courtyard Village for 3 years. In her free time she is resident representative for the second floor. She enjoys reading mysteries, playing bingo and bridge and loves spending time with her kids and grandkids. She will become great grandmother for the first time in November and is very excited about it.

If you haven’t met her, feel free to introduce yourself. Dorothy has a very fun and quirky personality.
