Connecting with others is vital for seniors’ well being

When Courtyard Village at Raleigh Hills welcomed its first seniors 22 years ago, Helen Cooper moved in-- and she’s still there today, enjoying her gardening with the friends she’s made. In fact, Cooper’s longevity is not unique. Many residents stay for a very long time. Much of the management, housekeeping staff and even the General Manager have each served Courtyard Village’s residents for a long time; in some cases as many as 17 years. You could say that Cooper sees a lot of familiar faces these days.
